The Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council, Hon. Adedeji Bukola Omope, FCPA, will join the Lagos State Government in the implementation of the "Adopt-A-School: Snacks for Thought" Programme, an initiative under the Federal Government's Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme.

The programme aims to improve the nutrition and learning outcomes of pupils in public primary schools through the provision of healthy snacks and beverages.

The Bariga flag-off will hold from Tuesday, 30th June to Thursday, 2nd July, 2026, at Aiyetoro Primary School, No. 1 Olanrewaju Street, Akoka, Bariga, where the Executive Chairman will officially launch the initiative alongside programme facilitators and Renewed Hope Agenda Ambassadors.

A total of 500 pupils will benefit daily from the three-day exercise, receiving nutritious snacks and fruit juice to support their health and academic development.

The programme will be flagged off simultaneously across Lagos State, with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu performing the state launch at the Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area Secretariat.

Reaffirming her administration's commitment to education and child welfare, Hon. Adedeji Bukola Omope noted that partnerships with the Federal and Lagos State Governments remain crucial to delivering impactful programmes that improve the lives of children in Bariga.
