The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) was founded in 1978 to protect the interests, fight for the rights of the workforce of the Local Councils in Nigeria at large.
It also serves as pressure group that influences the programmes and policies of the Governments at various levels
The Bariga branch of the Union has been carrying out these mandates ever since it was created.
